Craziest thing I've ever seen. I've been following this bud, thinking it would just abort, but it seems to be coming along. How unusual is this?

It is taking it's sweet time!

Strange but for the first time ever, I've just found a double bud in my garden. I believe it is some sort of fasciation where two stems fused but not the buds of course.
Mine are on Blushing Princess.

Any updates on the double buds? I am very fascinated by it.

Would love to tell you they are opening already but with no colour showing it will be more than a week before the reveal

Same here as Vals, slow movement of opening...it's a late pink.

Several days ago now, right side of twin is more advanced.

Today, left side is catching up, looking at the right side bloom head on, you'd never know it was carrying a baby on it's back!

On the upside of course, it clearly shows Blushing Princess doesn't mind a good soaking

Last post! First pic is both twins. Second pic is the right side dominant bloom, now fading. Third pic is the left side at stride. I've enjoyed the journey...we will never pass this way again...
