Does Lonicera fragrantissima smells like the ubiquitous Lonicera caprifolium or japonica (don't know which it is, yellow and white flower, no pink, some are in the same places for the last 30years.)
Or the smell is completely different?
@PaleoTemp A gardener friend asked if I "wanted some for the bees", it appears to be good for pollen and nectar If it flowers midwinter will the bees find it if they're clustered ? Anyone seen bees on it ?

That question might get more answers if asked on the bee forum, rather than here in the fragrance forum. https://garden.org/forums/view...

Our two winter honeysuckles are almost at peak bloom. And yes, it is a magnet for honey bees, lots of them are working over the blooms right now. To me, the fragrance is similar to orange or lemon blossoms, so I just call it "citrus".
