Looking through some old photos, I came across this and wonder if it might be Dazzleberry, or perhaps Cherry Tart?

Unfortunately I no longer have this plant. Sad

That is sure a beauty Kyla.
Maybe Chris @goldfinch4 can help ID it. I think she has both?

Thanks, Lynn. I have starts of both, now, that I got from Chris a little while ago. The plant in the photo, though, I can't even remember where I got it! but I do remember it blooming gloriously. I didn't know what I had! (Later I had to move across country from that place, and so had to let go of all plants for a time.)

It's very pretty, Kyla! Doesn't look like Dazzleberry, but very pretty!

Okay. Maybe it's a relative. Green Grin! Since I no longer have it, I won't hunt for it's ID too hard, but it would be nice to know so I could get more. Or maybe it is Cherry Tart!

This could be Dazzleberry, the leaf form and color look very close to this picture in the database:

My Dazzleberry goes through some major color changes during the year.

Ah! That second photo does look quite like the plant in my picture, doesn't it? The flowers look the same.

I'll be watching my new ones next year to see. Thanks, Chris!

Hi Chris that's my photo of my dazzleberry! :-D. I suppose Kyla's could be dazzleberry but the flowers in her photo look bigger to me than the tiny florets in mine.

Catmint, your Dazzleberry is really beautiful - such graceful arches and wonderful deep purple color. I think maybe her flowers look bigger because only a few are open so the picture is more of a close-up shot. Your picture shows big, full flower heads so the picture doesn't show as much detail. Hopefully next year Kyla can compare it to the Dazzleberry she got this year to determine if it's the same or not. We'll be looking forward to pictures Kyla! Big Grin

thanks, Chris. I was really pleased with how it did this year--definitely one of my favorite sedums.

I agree with all of the above.

I'm looking forward to next year for so many reasons already but you can be sure I'll take pictures of the sedums when they start to strut their stuff. nodding
