Hi -- I am looking for a 'Katie' or a 'Katrina' plant -- preferably daylily, but iris or other is fine as a memorial to our dear pup Katrina Sunhilda (Katie Sue). Can anyone help me find one?

I see a listing for Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Katie') and Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Katie My Love'), Iris (Iris 'Katie Girl'), Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Katie Sue'), Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Katie Sue Loves You'), Daylily (Hemerocallis 'Beautiful Katie'), Iris (Iris 'My Katie'), Iris (Iris 'Brown-eyed Katie') and Iris (Iris 'Katie'), but I don't know where to find them.

Any help appreciated!

Hi CDBinNH!

Welcome! Welcome! to ATP! Welcome!

I don't know about the Daylily you are asking about, but I'm sure some of the Daylily folks will chime in.

In fact, why don't you post your request in the Daylily forum.

There is a Tradescantia/spiderwort/dayflower with lime green foliage and lavender/blue flowers called 'Sweet Kate'. Here's a link so you can see a photo of the plant.

If "memorial" means she passed away, I sympathize.

I see a Mexican Petunia cultivar called 'Katie Blue'. That's CLOSE to Katie Sue.

But ATP member imabirdnut offered to trade seeds or plants.

I guess you already checked the ATP Plant database? I see pages of "Katies" but I only checked a few for vendors.

Thanks RickCorey.
Yes, we lost Katie to bone cancer, so are looking for a namesake.
We are in NH, so need something in the zone 4 or 5 category. I got a reply on the Daylily page, and have a Katie lily coming in the next week or so. I also ordered the daffodil you recommended.
Thanks again!
