Who is she?

I received these in a trade: Rooguchi, plena elegans, Polish Spirit, & Jules Correvon. Doesn't look like any of these.

Henryi, maybe? This is a photo of my Miss Bateman. Similar, but not the same, I think

Anna, it's not Nelly; I have one of those. Here's a bloom that open today and the others - they are more whitish/faded color.
The other clems have not bloomed.

Debra, I'll check out Miss Bateman and Henryi.

After seeing these last photos, I don't think it is Miss Bateman. The petals on her are wider, have a cream stripe, no lavender, and the stamen cluster is smaller and less fulsome.

I have one that doesn't look like what it's suppose to be either. I got it last year and it is suppose to be "Josephine". The shape is right but what happened to the color? Any ideas?Thumb of 2013-05-31/pcput/50e197

Is that the first bloom? Those first ones often can come out looking way off. Here's an excellent article concerning those first blooms: http://www.clematisqueen.com/c...

Thanks for the info, Sue. It is first blooms and the first time I've seen this happen. All the others that I have bought looked like they were suppose to when they first bloomed. I guess I was just lucky with them. *Blush*

I saw your comment on the other thread and came here to see what your Josephine looked like. Gosh, I've not had that happen here or at least not yet. Seems like it lost all the color. Has it continued to bloom like that?

My "Crystal Fountain" didn't look right the first time it bloomed too as I thought I got the wrong plant, but I had forgotten that. *Blush*

This was my first bloom on a small plant of Clematis 'Niobe' last year, thought it was wrong but it bloomed correct later on. (loved by the snails)

Peg, you still not getting any lavender at all on any of the newer blooms? That's odd. Does it look more like this?

The plot thickens!!!
Thanks Sue for posting your "Niobe" as I have one of those blooming for the first time too. When I went to look for my pic of it I found this pic that I forgot about. It was taken 6/2/2012

Thumb of 2013-06-07/pcput/596fa9

Then you posted the link to "florida Alba Plena" so I went out in the dark(11:30pm) to get another pic which I couldn't do so I cut one off and brought it in. Here's what it looks like now;

Looks like a match to me Hurray! Here's what I bought

Thumb of 2013-06-07/pcput/d656a0

Looks like it was marked wrong Grumbling The vines are right next to each other and are so intertwined I can't see which is which. I now know Josephine is not blooming.

Finally here's my "Niobe"

So once again you guys are right on I tip my hat to you. What a great group here. Thanks to all for helping solve the mystery Hurray!
