Cistus blooming profusely.

It is certainly a bee magnet in my garden!

Here is the full shrub in all its glory.

And just a few days before- look at all the buds! I knew it was going to be smothered in blooms this year!

Another beautiful plant I never heard of. Had to look it up if I can grow them here, but my zone is too cold. It makes a beautiful banner!

Cistus, aka Rock Rose, a very pretty banner & addition to the garden,
and you captured it perfectly, Rachael. Thumbs up

Your banners are introducing us to so many beautiful and interesting plants from the UK. It's so enlightening to see what other countries grow in their gardens; and the English Gardens are world renowned.
So glad you are part of this site.

Thank you all,
I never considered that I'd be adding a bit of a variety to the mix! I'm just glad to be around like minded plant appreciators.

This shrub was a bit of a bargain (£1.79!!!) at my local Aldi store when we had cleared the back of the garden and I was looking to fill some gaps! I think is is a case of right plant, right place!

Thank you all for accepting me so warmly into your banner group. 🥰

I echo all the sentiments about appreciating seeing new or unfamiliar plants. This one looks like a real winner.

They grow well here in our Mediterranean climate, and am embarrassed
that I don't have even one. Rolling my eyes.
But thanks to your banner, will add a few if I can find them in the local nurseries...maybe just one depending on price.

That IS a great bargain
