They are spectacular blooms...it's an "event" to see them in full display.
Well rotted & composted manure seems to be a key factor.
I had a neighbor many years ago that grew award-winning dahlias.
He impressed on me the importance of the "black gold", i.e. manure.
It's only been this year that I took his advice, and the results are amazing.
