juicy, ripe, red watermelon- my mom's favorite. She could eat the entire melon by herself. I know lots of Dr Pepper fans. Never tasted it myself but the Pepper fans are devoted.

Dr Pepper to me tastes like sugar water. Never did like it. Have plenty of family and friends who are devoted to it though. In fact, earlier this year when the news was hyping a Dr Pepper shortage all the people I know freaked out and went and bought an extra case or two just in case.

All soft drinks are more or less strongly coloured, more or less strongly carbonated sugar water.
Watermelon, now, that's "candy drink" or "drink food," http://reverseshot.org/reviews...
One of my uncles used to grow enormous watermelons in his garden. He always tried to make sure the biggest, most perfect one ripened in time for my aunt's birthday in August, when all the family would come to their house.

Thriller out of those but you left out Sci-fi and Horror. Nothing like a good Horror book

horror-thriller carnage, death, destruction. I like John Connelly, Michael Connelly, James Lee Burke, Taylor Caldwell. Basically good writing. I don't watch that much tv so movies are out for me. I do allot of reading.

I left out horror on purpose, because I hate it... well, everything since Little Shop of Horrors and The Rocky Horror Picture Show... but they're comedy anyway, so that's okay.
But Sci-Fi - leaving that out is unforgivable. I throw myself upon the mercy of the Shadow Proclamation.

Action and comedy. Westerns and war flicks. But we explore indies, foreign films, 'slice of life' sort of stories..

Here's one asked my son's girlfriend- Beach or mountains? (You win your choice of a vacation home in either..)
Plant it and they will come.

That's a hard one to decide. I've been lucky enough to spend time at both locations. The best pancakes{buckwheat pancakes} I ever had were at the High Knob bar in Sullivan County Pa. Thats up there in the mountains. But I don't think I could live there year round-=the cold and snow would do me in. Down the shore is a place I could live year round but then there's storm season to contend with. Like I said tough choice. Confused

So funny to me to hear "down the shore" now...grew up in Philly so we went to the shore, but been in Florida since 1978 where we go to the beach. I miss the fall leaves so for me it would be mountains in October.

Beach or mountains? That's like asking apples or oranges, seashells or rocks? I refuse to choose. Need both.

I'm with Tiffany... I couldn't pick one. It's always been a dream to live someplace quiet on the ocean (an impossible dream, I know). But I'd have to be within at least a short driving distance, or better yet walking distance, to woods and rivers.

Mountain living all the way. the Winters are hard but worth it. Wish I could afford lakefront, close to the best of both. Around here most say going down the shore.

I guess with Horror films there are a lot of cheap ones . But some of the best are really a cross over of either sci-fi or thriller. For example Alien , Aliens and The Thing or thrillers like Get Out , Silence of the Lambs. The Quiet Place movies are all three. The Shinning to me is still one of the best movies ever.

A clifftop overlooking a beach. Mountains feel claustrophobic to me; best seen at a distance. Foothills can be nice, though.

Clifftop-- egads, fear of heights, plus, all the steps going down and back.
I'll take the lovely lakeside, with foothills or mountains behind me. At least a stream, millpond.. something?
Plant it and they will come.

I was thinking a nice paved driveway on the landward side terminating in attached garage. But if there are lots of steps, I'm choosing the foothills.

Mountains are beautiful, one of those "nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there". Beach for me with the blue water and sound of the waves on the shore.
