I received an E-Mail early in the week from the parent company of the place I interviewed. They wanted me to complete a survey concerning the application process. VERY bad timing on their part.
Several questions asked if I found the application process on the web to be easy. Gloves off.
I wrote that I had no idea there was an online application as I had applied through Indeed. I had a brief phone conversation with the CEO, sent in my resume as requested and have heard nothing since.
Now, some might argue that maybe they didn't get the resume and figured I had change my mind. The only problem with that line of thought was that the only way they could have gotten my E-Mail address was from my resume.
Employers complain about potential applicants responding. Well, that is a 2-way street. If a company is soliciting applications, it is on them to let the applicant know where they stand in the process. ESPECIALLY if they make the initial contact.
