Thread OP
Pacific Northwest (Zone 8a)
I planted a nemophila menziesii transplant this spring and it's doing fabulously, and I want MORE! I'm going to harvest seeds from it, and I'm curious how well they do with fall-sowing in the PNW and if anyone has done it? I'm zone 8a, a few hours from Seattle so we get fairly rainy especially this year. We rarely get a real freeze, but my yard gets frost consistently from Jan-April most years.

Most online resources I've found recommend starting this seed direct-sowing in spring, but I'm wondering if fall sowing the fresh seed would be fine? Especially because our autumns are so rainy, I wouldn't have to worry about watering them. Would young plants be hardy enough through this kind of winter?

Thanks Smiling
