HIGHLY recommended. Surely one of the most impressive private gardens I've ever seen. Up there with Sonoma Horticultural Nursery in California...alas since Polo had to sell it in 2016, who knows if it's being kept up to the same standard. A true collector's garden BUT with an incredible design as well. I don't want to post too many pics to ruin the excitement if you visit.

There are many amazing specimen trees, including the largest deciduous Asian magnolia I've seen in my life, INCLUDING maritime climates like NZ & Southeastern AU! Here is a gorgeous Stewartia.

You can see plants you are unlikely to see growing well on much of the east coast south of this cool summer area on the coast of Rhode Island. This Cardiocrinum from high elevation in Yunnan China has died for me, but seems to be loving it here.
