Every year I have a group of purslane/portulaca that I plant throughout my beds. The types that I plant is based on what I can find at big box stores. As the growing season moves on they all grow pretty vigorously an can even outgrow my beds. Often I would like to add a splash of different colors. Sometimes I would turn to eBay, but people would charge $2-5 for a cutting plus the cost of shipping.

I was wondering if anyone would like to start swapping cuttings. The process could be pretty simple by using the Classified and Group Buys forum or even the Purslane and Portulaca forum. A person could start a thread, including photos of the plants that they would be willing to share. Interested parties could communicate via Tree-Mail to exchange shipping information. No exchange money would be necessary and everyone's garden would benefit.

Any interest? If so, I would be a guinea pig. I'm including photos of the plants that I have this year to wet your interest.

Lance

Your blooms are absolutely stunning - so bright and beautiful.

I have very few growing this season. Lots of projects going on here this summer so garden has taken a back seat.

If you don't get any takers this year and remember next spring, I will do my best to see what I can come up with to trade.
