This Domino Peace Lily was given to me by my mother 2 years ago. It has been in my family for a long time. It seems to be decently healthy but a lot of the smaller leaves that come in end up shriveling up or turning black on the ends. Lots of new growth in the middle. But it hasn't flowered in over a year or so. As you can see in the picture, light is not the issue as it gets bright indirect light most of the day. Wondering if it just needs to be repotted or divided due to age. It is probably 10+ years old and has not been repotted into new soil in 4 years. I should also mention that I had a fungus gnat problem a few weeks ago. (Fungus gnats are gone now) Any advice is appreciated, I would love to keep it going for another 10+ years!!

Thanks,
Taylor

not enough light.
only the new leaves around the outside of the rosette died..so your roots are fine.

you're watering properly, which is the hardest part to get right. congratulations.
it's not getting enough sun.
remember, everywhere inside your house is dense shade. watch where the sun comes through your windows and crosses your floor, and put the plant directly in the spot, close enough where all of the leaves will throw a shadow.. the leaves need light, not the roots. if you watch the shadow you'll know where light is hitting or not. luckily these don't need much.. 3-4 hours a day of indirect sunlight will be fine

or, the plant will continue to die back and you can repot into a little pot and have a 16" peace lilly instead of a 3 footer, then a 8" plant, then a smaller pot...

it's really up to you. often we have to trade off a spectacular plant in a bad spot, or a plant in a spot that's pleasing to the decorator's eye.. it's really up to you. if you leave it without light it will shrink back and loose leaves till it dies. good news is that will take a year or two, since it looks like you're watering correctly . A bouquet of lilies will last 5 days. you have tons of time.

Well just an update it decided to flower at last! It hasn't flowered in probably 2 years so good to see it. I did move it a little closer to window and it seemed to help in a matter of days. Thanks!

What a difference a year makes.. 3 flowers now, and a 4th about to bloom. Never heard of that many at one time on a peace lily. Wanted to post the update!

My peace lily doesn't bloom either. I put in a lighter spot thinking that more light would make it bloom but the effects were negative and the leafs went a light color green and the plant was starting to look pale and unhealthy so I put it back in the lower light spot and its starting to look much better with darker green leaves but still no blooms.
