Ok, this one bloom is way ahead of the rest of my irises. And there is a good reason. This one is potted. I brought it indoors one week before a Garden Expo/show and did not sell it (3 day show). Then back home and in the garage for 5 days before going back outside in the elements. Even then, it had it good as it was up against the house (stone wall) and South facing. I have no other irises even showing signs of blooms or stalks. Here are the pictures.

Tonight I have a frost warning. So looked all of my plants to see if I needed to cover anything. No, but I see more of my potted iris are showing signs of bloom stalks. They appeared sooooo fast! I brought seven into the garage to overnite. Smiling

It's amazing how fast those stalks appear! Almost overnight ! I see my son has some stalks on some of his TBs, next to his house. He has an extra warm foundation, and his are usualy the first to bloom..My SDBs don'e even have any yet ! It ain't fair !....Arlyn

I finally have a "regular" iris about to bloom. It is a SDB and it is "Jewel Baby" (Hall, 1984). I thought I had eliminated this iris from my collection as it took up too much space and grew like a weed. Seems it is too tough for me.

Here are two pictures of other "potted" irises that are getting close to blooming.

These two are "Point in Time"

This is "Goldkist" on the left and "Blankety Blank" on the right.
