Thread OP
Acton,Maine
I am a summer resident in Maine. We leave for Florida in October and return in June. How should I mulch my garden ( day lilies, peonies, rose, clematis…)? Will the plants be harmed if the mulch remains on until June?

Mulch is supposed to stay on all year, right? As long as you're covering the soil and root area, NOT the crowns of the plants. Shrug!
Plant it and they will come.
