@Fleur569's comment made me think of pinking shears, and realized I had never made the word association between floral 'pinks' with their edges that look as though they're made with pinking shears. I always thought the common name for the flowers came from the pink color that many of them have. So thanks, Rachael, for a beautiful banner, and thanks, Fleur, for a fun trip for my little grey cells.
