My flower isn't doing so hot and today I found white fuzzy stuff all over it and I have no idea what it is or how to help my plant recover, is there anything I can do and can someone identify what the white stuff is?

Is that a gerbera daisy? If so, the fuzz may be powdery mildew. You can find more info at the following link:

Ye it's a gerbera daisy, I checked out that thread you linked but will those sprays save the plant at this point? The base of the plant is covered in the mildew so I'm not sure what I should even cut off the plant at this point.

I have trouble growing these guys. Not easy for me and a lot of people. The mildew is easy to cure so don't trim anything.
Too much moisture and not enough air movement can lead to mildew. Make sure you water the soil, not the foliage.

To be honest these are grown as temporary pot plants indoors. I would use the money you'd spend on treatments and buy a new plant.

Mix one tablespoon of baking soda and a half teaspoon of mild dish soap, not detergent, into a gallon of water.

For a quart it would be a tsp. Of baking soda, 1/8th tsp. of mild dish soap in a quart pump, hand held spray bottle. At least that's what I have used to combat powdery mildew on lilacs.
No need to purchase anything.

nature keeps amazing me
Everything is succumbing to powdery mildew in my garden. Already cut 3 peonies down to ground level. The other 3 are hanging on but don't look so great. It's spreading throughout the beds-the dark leaved dahlias are getting splotches on their foliage. I'm done with the garden for this season. The extended heat wave and high humidity have taken a toll on almost everything. Oddly the hydrangeas are ok. The agastache and gomphrena and salvias are doing ok. I don't have the time to check and spray every day. The garden usually takes care of itself after things become established. With that thought in mind I'll make notes for next season. Sighing!

I just posted on another question that I recently discovered milk and water spray (1 part milk to 10 parts water) for powdery mildew. I'm using it on kalanchoe, which are easier to grow than gerbera daisy n my experience, but it may work. Let us know.

Are you using this as an indoor plant or outside?
I have seen them as outdoors plants here. They need plenty of water, big enough pot so they don't dry too fast.
Plant it and they will come.
