Lily Lavon

Lavon is an enormous tree lily which graces and perfumes the garden for a month in July. Incredibly tall, at least seven or eight feet at three years old, Lavon is a joy to behold.

What a spectacular banner to introduce us to a new tree lily here. The photo makes you imagine the seductive scent such a beauty must emit. Love it.

OK, I'll admit I'm a bit partial to lilies and happy to see a banner of them. It doesn't happen very often!

Your Lavons look robust and healthy. Thanks for such a nice banner!

For those who don't know, my screen name "pardalinum" is a native lily to the west coast, mostly southern Oregon and northern California.

No, they are very strong and stiff. They are Orienpet lilies, a hybrid from Holland.
