You should have asked him what it was called.

With building work for a month solid in the run up to summer, I didn't expect the plant to return this year. However, I walk past today and this looks uncannily similar to the year before, only less messy:

Could this be the same plant ?

Looks like the same plant. Still looks like a sow thistle to me but it would be nice to have some details of the leaves and stems.

Several times we have asked you to show more detail.

I posted clear images on Aug 18, 2022 6:25 to show you what to look for.
This is not a shrub.
Shrubs have woody stems, twigs, branches.
It is just wild flower. One I would describe as a weed.
All the fluffy stuff are the seed heads which will blow away and find another crack and grow into yet another plant.

If you need to know the accurate name then the ball is in your court.
Do some home work.
Pick a leaf and take it home.
Compare the leaves of this plant to my pics
Break a stem to see if it is hollow.

Otherwise I suggest you forget about it.

More detailed pics below..this time to show the flowers.

Unfortunately it has been done away with for the year. Yet again I am late in investigating this one.
