Label as You Shop

Label plants by writing on plastic pots with acrylic paint pens, which are available in craft departments. If you are shopping at a nursery that does not label individual pots, write on the pot when you select the plant so you won’t have to guess what it is when you get it home. Take a paint pen with you to plant swaps and label plants you are given without labels.

I went the boring, industrial route, purchased DyKem markers, under $3.50 at Grainger.
DyKem makes paint, ink, dye markers which hold up under adverse conditions.
There's one that marks invisibly - and glows under black light....ooooooo....

I like to keep it simple. I love those bright markers. I was using the sharpie permanent markers and they fade over the winter when I am not watching. Grumbling ~ I bought several black paint pens last year and I am very happy with those!

I've noticed the sharpie ink does fade, so next trip I'm looking for the acrylic pens. Really a great idea. nodding
