Not a lawn question, but has to do with vegetation growing. I wasn't sure what forum in which to ask this - sorry if it doesn't belong here. I just got done (for now) for the second day in a row pulling out weeds from cracks in the driveway. I use a needle nose pliers to get as much as I can for the smaller, more narrow weeds. I made a weed killer with vinegar and some soap, poured that in the cracks after the weeds were pulled.

A lot more to go - but enough for now. I wonder - would it help applying a weed killer as a preventative next spring? My neighbor gave me some leftover driveway sealant. I do plan to use that to fill the cracks, but some weeds grow in what barely qualifies as a crack. Don't want to keep doing this every year, I'll use the excuse I'm getting too old for this! Ideally I'd have the whole driveway re-paved, but it's just not in the budget.

Vinegar, unless a very high acid percentage is a waste of time.
Get spray bottle of vegetation killer and spray, bend over and use only as much as necessary, each weed location.
It will take years of repeated applications before you have killed all of it. I tip my hat to you.
