Might be, what do the leaves look like?
And has it been cool and wet lately?

The leaves are all dying. It was a late. cold, wet spring and the plants were very slow to start. Then everything took off and I thought we were away. It has been a fairly dry summer here and hot right now. The leaves started to show distress about mid summer then when the fruit started it became increasingly worse. I am stripping the garden out this week as I have read that this disease could survive the winter here. It stays reasonably mild here thru the winter so am a bit worried that it could survive to next year's crop as well. Our entire garden this year has been struggling due to weather conditions and has produced at 50% (at best). Am open to any suggestions on how to prevent a carry over to next year. Thanks

It doesn't really look like blight to me, it's missing the characteristic yellow and brown blotches on the leaves. Perhaps its some kind of viral infection.

If you pull them out be sure to get as much of the root as possible and don't compost any part of the plant. Throw them in the trash.

For next year plant them further apart, not only will that reduce the chance of disease but you'll have bigger, healthier plants. And don't let any vine or leaf touch the ground. Its a good practice to strip all leaves from the bottom 12" of each plant. Also remove all dead leaves and branches ASAP.

Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Thanks, just finished removing them all and an digging up roots and any leftovers. Grew up on a farm and have gone thru a few years of failures. All part of faring no matter what the size.
Thanks for your replies.
