Thread OP

Hi There. Let me start this thread out by saying I know nothing about house plants and I usually kill them but I'm trying to do better Smiling , I want to be a good house plant momma. But give me something to grow outdoors and its like magic. I recently purchased a coffee plant to avenge the first one that didn't make it. rip. I bought this one acidic soil because that what google said to get and I have this plant light laying around. My question is since I don't really have any good windows to put it in, will the plant light be enough? The light didn't come with any instructions. I'm presuming it has a warm light setting, bright light setting and a purple spectrum. which one would be good as supplemental light? Another thing that I was reading, is that its recommended to fertilize during the growing season but I cant find anywhere what the growing season is. I'm in California zone 8. Any help would be apricated, thank you.

Hi, I love my coffee plant, now a bush. Hope you have similar luck!
I assume bright light setting, but what kind of light is this really?
Growing season doesn't apply so much for indoors artificial conditions. Fertilize only lightly, only while plant is well lit and growing.
Can you post a picture of plant and light?
Plant it and they will come.

Never had one, but the look nice!

I'm reading strong indirect (they're understory plants) to mid, prune well.

Makes sense if want it to stay bushy and not get huge.

I'm no expert on lights but the plant looks good and the white light nice. I use white only.
The plant has room to grow in that pot so don't change the pot anytime soon.
No special care given to mine and I don't remember it ever getting the mealybugs or spidermites that a few of my other plants have had.
Thumbs up
Plant it and they will come.
