When and what season is the best time to plant under Evergreen trees? Can someone else provide me with a video of preparation of removing needles and prepping the soil and how to or what the best way is to get enough enough Coverage by bushes or such?

First... I would not plan on removing the needles... they are important as mulch.

Around here, I can't think of much that would thrive under pines beyond camellias and azaleas...

What specifically are you intending to plant?

Almost nothing grows under pine needle evergreens. Maybe ivy?
