For all you ex-DG folk, Willow has recently posted that her husband is in ICU with a heart attack and his dementia is also getting worse. If you still have access to the PNW forum, you may want to post - it's under the thread "Love my Garden" or something similar (?). Just an FYI.

Oh Deb just hate to here that. I don't have access to DG any more but will you post for me that I am thinking of her at this time.

I did so, and her latest post is that her husband is doing much better, back to his normal self. Dealing with dementia is really a difficult thing. My mom had Alzheimers and my dad had what the doc thought was some sort of vascular dementia - not as severe as Alz but frustrating.

Willow updated again, and asked me to thank you for your thoughts and to tell you she misses you on DG. Her husband is still in the hospital and will be released to a skilled nursing facility when his blood sugar is stable. His mind is OK sometimes and really bad other times, particularly when he is tired. He has refused any further treatment for the heart problem, doesn't want to know what happened or if it can be fixed. Per Willow, he is a stubborn man. She and her daughter have been working outside in her yard to ease their own stress. She has gotten a lot of online support from the DG community. I'll keep you posted as she updates. ~Deb

Poor thing. I can kind of understand her DH though. I think of her often.

Have you met her in person? I have not, although I do have a good 'feel' for her personality from DG. Glad she has that community to give her support.

No, but was going to help when she moved in but they made it for Memorial weekend. Not good for me.
