If you haven't looked at the varieties available for bidding, you need to. All I can say is WOW!

Many are new, most probably expensive.

They do have a starting price on them, and yes, some of them are quite pricey.

I didn't even look at the starting price, just the varieties! Will have to go back and take a closer look!

I have Spring Time Glory but it hasn't successfully bloomed yet. For the past two years it has had a bud that gets frozen!
It has grown well this year some hopefully it will bloom successfully in 2023.

Bud on March 12…. Never opened.

Wow, I would love to see its bloom in your garden, LG! I hope that you will get multiple buds next year and that they will make it to bloom. The flower looks so gorgeous on the APS auction website. I just love its color and form. I really hate spring freezes. So sorry that you lost its first bud to freeze. Sad

It has been disappointing, and after this Spring I told myself that I would move it this Fall. But it has grown so well this Summer I'm going to give it one more year. My paeonia ostii is near it, and blooms quite nicely.

I got Spring Time Glory in 2021, last shipment we got from NZ although we certainly didn't realize they were retiring then. Wish I'd ordered several more!

Yes, me too! I would have ordered a couple from them in 2020.

US auction is going pretty well but the Canadian one seems to be a non-starter! Any Canadians that are APS members should take a quick look, there are some nice peonies without a bid on them at all!

The Canadian one by the CPS is not an auction.
People donate roots and then we can send in requests for the ones we want. If more than one person asks for a particular variety….they do a draw for who gets it. I received two of my choices from the CPS exchange. Lavender Lotus and peregrina.

Caroline, the APS organized an auction for its Canadian members to be shipped within Canada. . There were some really nice items up for auction, but not very many folks participated in it. Many wonderful peonies were not bid on at all. Confused

Fortunately the US auction was very successful, and all items were sold.

Thanks to everyone who participated, even if you didn't win.

Ah I-missed that one then. I had not realized there was one for Canadians by the APS. I am not an APS member.
