Yes, Jmorth, those look like some kind of pussytoes. Maybe Antennaria plantaginifolia. I'm not sure since I'm in the process of trying to identify the ones growing here!

Thanks.
I think it's the A. negecta due to described size.

Antennaria plantaginifolia doesn't quite match, I think the leaves are too rounded ..

http://www.missouriplants.com/Whitealt/Antennaria_plantagini...

The leaves are different of this site ..

http://gobotany.newenglandwild.org/species/antennaria/planta...

Antennaria howellii looks a good bet, there are subspecies..

http://gobotany.newenglandwild.org/species/antennaria/howell...

http://www.pnwflowers.com/flower/antennaria-howellii

Antennaria neglecta is not a match ..

http://gobotany.newenglandwild.org/species/antennaria/neglec...

Antennaria parlinii is not a match ..

http://gobotany.newenglandwild.org/species/antennaria/parlin...

The list of species ..

Antennaria plantaginifolia .. it won't allow me to copy and past so I snipped this part off, are the basal leaves petiolate with 2-3cm long petioles?
