Your plant is definitely a variety of Dieffenbachias (Dieffenbachia). Some Dieffenbachia may have larger leaves than others but I wonder if the leaves of your plant are reduced in size due to the cultural conditions the plant has received?
Other members who grow Dieffenbachia will hopefully be able to offer suggestions and advice.

Hi & welcome! Some of them just have naturally smaller leaves, and some just need more age, so don't assume there's anything wrong if it looks otherwise healthy.
