It's not rated for zone 8 that I know of .. I've always overwintered my Iochroma in the greenhouse .. too precious to me to take a chance - though I think the crown could probably tolerate a zone 8 winter well mulched in a protected place since Datura and Brugmansia have no problems with zone 8 Winters.
