Anybody recognize the ailment afflicting the pepper plant shown in the attached photo? Askin' for a friend. (No, really!) He says this happens to his plants every year about this time here in Zone 9B.

Almost looks like the leaf miner damage I get on my dahlia leaves, but I don't get the yellowing/browning. Could this just be sunburn?

Yeah, the trails look like leaf miners to me, I've just never seen the yellowing/browning like that with leaf miners. But he's growing peppers and I'm growing dahlias, so maybe the peppers have a different reaction.
