I planted these seeds in a seed starter kit with the plastic cover to create that greenhouse effect. The seeds literally germinated within 24-36 hours. After about a week or week and a half they reached the size in the picture. I then put them in the south facing sun and quite a few of them didn't survive. Now I only have a handful that are started to produce tiny true leaves. My question is, should I of left them in the little greenhouse longer until they started producing leaves? I feel I may of had a better outcome.

Seedlings that are that close together are their own weeds. And their long thin form indicates that they are desperately reaching for light and not finding it. Just out of curiosity, what are "bee's friend" seedlings?

Interesting plant. Online sources seem to suggest sowing in place (outdoors) in the spring and that once germinated they prefer dry
sandy environments. Sometimes native herbs like that don't start well in rich soil or indoor environments, but no harm trying.

I agree with Zen: they are sown too thickly and should have been exposed to bright light as soon as they emerged. I'd consider eliminating the plastic lid; just keep them evenly moist with a spray bottle until they show. This might not be the right time of year but Florida seasons are a mystery to me.

Thank you both for your responses.

You're both right as I should of not planted them all in one hole. I should of just spread them out and then spread some soil on top of them. Although today I just planted a lot more in a large pot with south facing sun. I want to experiment and see how the newer seedlings will like that. The ones I showed you guys in the seed started, those seeds actually germed within like 24 hours. :O

As per their instructions, they are best sown directly.
