Hi, this seems to be a Goeppertia, not a Calathea. Goeppertia was split off of calathea. Perhaps something in the Goeppertia ornata group. @purpleinopp

I believe it is an ornata but wasn't totally sure. Since C. ornata is a synonym of the ugly new name Goeppertia, it would be my preference to leave it where it is, but if the name police need to move it, I understand and consent. Thank you for your note!

Thanks! Yea, Goeppertia is a funky name. Not my favorite split or move. Thanks for letting me do so. I'll get the genus Goeppertia proposed, as there are quite a few plants that your picture could be (i.e. Goeppertia majestica, which might be possible, considering the photo looks large)
