No, reseeds with the tails. However I have it planted in a cluster by itself with no other Columbines directly near it. I figure it would cross if I had another variety right next to it.
Here is shrub that is guaranteed to attrack backyard songbirds. The Mockingbird here tries to guard my hedgerow of them each year for himself but isn't very successfull. Besides the Grackles, Robins, Catbirds and Mockingbirds last year Waxwings came each day when the fruit was ripe until it was all gone. It is called Goumi. I bought mine at Raintree Nursery. This fruit is ment for people but it is so tart that mostly it is made into jelly. No matter, the birds go nuts for this fruit. Fruit pictured is not ripe yet but soon.

Rita, I have some sort of vetch, looks like what you posted, I didn't plant it, spreading all over the place, it climbs all over everything, I hate it!!!!

I will have to check that out, this is about the 3rd year that it has shown up, I tried digging it out but it is in with the plants, I am going to try Round-up when I know it isn't going to rain for a few days.
