Yesterday, a member was wondering about how to turn ads off on the site. I told them that when they reach 100 contributions to the database, they can turn off ads. However, this member is at 108 contributions and yet they still don't have the "Remove ads from site" setting. Was the quota increased, or does the system need to register this member's 100 contributions after some time, or is it something else?

It is a nightly thing that runs that adds people to a special group that interally is called the "DB Elite". Once you're in that group, you can turn off ads in your preferences.

So, it doesn't immediately become available after 100 contributions, but within 24 hours it should.
