I believe this plant may be misidentified and is actually a hybrid called 'Donnie' (among other names). @Djinnrickey has proposed moving this image to the other entry.

Aloe Retro Gang™ Donnie

I will be moving that request along, but I wanted to leave a note here so that @tabbycat is aware of the change, and so that anyone who might disagree can speak up.

Note that Donnie looks very different (in shape but especially in color) when exposed to strong light... the most obvious differences between this image and most of the ones in the listing for Donnie would relate to exposure, in my view.

The leave surfaces and edges look right , but the leave shapes , colours and stemming all are not . Insufficient light, excessive watering (or both )!can lead to some or all of the issues
Whilst it's not a good image to ID another Donnie, it does show the variation that can be seen in different growing conditions. Donne is common so their will be enough alternative images in the database to avoid confusion
