This opened yesterday. Not the best pic in the world, but this flowers rarely for me so I'm very excited. Hippeastrum San Antonio Rose.

My first rain lily of the season. Good old Grandiflora.

Don't you just adore that? It's the first time it has bloomed for me. I will say that it bloomed several years ago. The bud was getting ready to open just as we left for a 2 week vacation. Missed the whole thing.

I do love it. I sure hope mine blooms again next year. I think it has only been in the ground a year or so.

It's a pretty good spreader, too. Maybe I'll move a couple of the smaller bulbs to see if I can get more consistent blooming.

Probably will not be a spreader in my area but I sure would be happy if it did!!

Beautiful, Bev! I so love seeing these southern bulbs blooming in the ground.

Marie, why are you thinking the rain lilies may not spread there? My only experience with them is in pots, but they seem very forgiving and don't really get much care.

Thanks, Neal! I posted this for Angie, but it's one of my old hardy bulbs. Eucomis Sparkling Burgandy. I'll post another pic when it blooms, but the foliage is a bright spot.

Thanks, y'all:)) That one has been in the ground a bit over 3 years. Don't know what it is, just liked the unusual color.

I meant the amaryllis would not be a spreader. Sorry I should have clarified that :o)
Love the glad blooms. I came home from being out of town for the day to these crinum blooms.

Love the crinum! I have several. Which one is this? My most established is Ellen Bosanquet. The smell is heavenly...not blooming yet.

Beautiful. I am a big fan of crinum. Especially love shreck. Lovely stripes. I live not far from downtown Raleigh. I routinely pass through an older neighborhood with huge clumps of them. I've always wanted to stop and ask about them, but it's not the safest place to be. Besides, considering the size of them, the crinums could very well predate the present owners.
