This bulb is sick it never grew roots and the basal plate started rotting I cut the rot off, plus its way to thick. Should I cut the plate down, the bloom stalks off and try to get it to root or chip it and try and get Bulblets

It was also supposed to be a 32cm bulb, it was 25cm's.

Not sure it makes sense to attempt propagation of a sickly bulb....

I'd pot it.... give it a shot. if it still doesn't perform... avoid that bulb supplier in the future.

Edit:
If it has bloom stalks... I'd sure want those... I can't see the point of removing the flowers!

Wow, I've never seen a bulb with such a rotten basal plate. I think you are wasting your time trying to propagate it. I assume that you did get blooms, which is sometimes a one shot thing from a sick bulb. If you decide to try to save it, cut most of the basal plate off, dip in powdered sulfur, repot and see if the bulb recovers. At most, you have a 10% chance of the bulb recovering. This is something that most Amaryllis enthusiasts occasionally see in a newly purchased bulb. The bulb was already rotting when it was shipped. And after you've had it this long, it is basically impossible to get a refund for the purchase price.

Barbara it started growing blooms they got out bout 4-5 inch's and stopped. That's how I found it had started to rot. I cut the basal plate down cut bloom stalks off, so no blooms put a mix of root tone and powdered cinnamon on it and am letting it dry a few days then I'm gonna cut the half that's got plate left into propagation pieces. I ordered 5 bulbs and got my money back on all five. This one was supposed to have been a 32cm bulb.

It's still got most of it's plate, can see how that layer is still attached to it.

Good luck, keep us posted how it grows out. It doesn't look as bad now that you've cleaned it up and removed the worst of the basal plate. Glad you were able to get the refund.

This bulb should have been thrown in the trash instead of being sold as part of a kit. Another test for the powers of Cinnamon Powder. Second pic is all I could salvage from it. It still only has basal root plate on one side.
