I'm in my second year growing bulbs in pots for movable color. The pot that did the best in my first year doing this was stored in my garage,
Darwin Tulip (Tulipa 'Banja Luka'). The others in a tepee tent outdoors, or covered by mulch, not so much.

This year I have 5-6 pots in the garage, and we'll see what spring brings in 6a SE Michigan. It's been a warm winter without much snow so far, but with cold snaps befitting what USED to be a Michigan winter.
