(ATG-oops, thinking "All Things Garden"-hehe, couldn't change the title-sorry!) I hope this doesn't make anyone angry, but I'm just curious about how ATP got started:) I've been a long time member of Dave's Garden but I haven't been gardening much for the past few years due to a family illness and have totally been out of the loop. The other day I came across this website and I notice a lot of familiar names here. My guess is that Dave's Garden was bought out by "big business" and Dave started a new website? Anyway, I'm just curious-I love what I've seen here and plan on working on some acorns this week!

Yes, Deb, that's a pretty good summary of what happened. It's ATP, by the way (AllThingsPlants), not ATG.

from me too! I was at the other site (DG) for a little over 3 years but didn't renew my membership when it expired because I wasn't visiting the site any longer ... my home away from home (so to speak) is ATP. You will love it here; don't hesitate to introduce yourself around and ask questions ... everyone is like family and always helpful!

Hi Deb, and welcome.

There was also Cubits, created by Dave after DG was sold, and before ATP was created.

Cubits wasn't intended be be solely a garden site, but it does seem to lean heavily that way. It's like a mall, or a roll-your-own-site. You can create your own "Cubit" there, complete with forums and C-mail, and even sell things.
