I've had a begonia boliviensis in a 24"pot for about 8-10 years. Her corm has outgrown the pot and needs to be moved, but it isn't hardy in the ground here in the Pacific Northwest. I keep her in the garage in the winter during dormancy. My problem: I need to get her out of the pot this year, preferably before she breaks dormancy, and I'm wondering if I can propagate her by cutting the corm into pieces (kind of like a peony). Is that how you do it? Does anyone have any experience with this?
