I have some new Schlumbergera Brazil Holiday Cactus I would like to add to my list and to the database. There is a full collection of them and they are getting very popular. In case you are not aware of them or even care about them, this is my problem.

Schlumbergera Brazil is a collection of hybrids whose parentage is from the S. truncata family BUT they can not be called S. Truncata because they area hybrids and truncata is a species, hence they are named S. Brazil. Similar to other hybrids that only take the cultivar name.

The exception is as far as I know with buckleyii, this is because it can cross fertilize with other schlumbergeras.

Brazil is a collection of hybrids made by the same person by crossing other hybrids with S.truncata.

Having said this, where do you want them to go on your database? Thank you for your help.

Hi Jacguie, are these plants in the Brazil Series you are referring to?

Edit: I just created an entry for Schlumbergera 'Anapolis Brazil' as an example.

Do you have the cultivar names? If so you can propose they be added to the database, or you can list them here and I will add them.

Could you please add these on the list to the database rather than have me give them to you one at a time as I list them on my list. Thanks so much.

S. Campinas Brazil
S. Anapolis Brazil
S. Samba Brazil
S.Carneval Brazil - some list it as Carnival - It is up to you what you want to use. RosaDanica uses the eval.
S.Vila Velha Brazil
S. Parana Brazil
S. Amazonas Brazil
S. Horizonte Brazil
S. Novembro Brazil
S.Sao Paulo Brazil

I hope those spellings are accurate, My vision is blurred today from eye drops and I had a difficult time proof reading them. I used Rosa's spellings. I appreciate your help so much. Thanks again. If you tell me when they are on the database i will work on my listing.

I have one plant I am not sure which goes where on the database form. Can you please help me?

Name of Plant is a Sinningia speciosa hybrid, "Bristol's Love Potion"
The family is Gesneriads
The Violet Barn said it is also wrongly called- Florist gloxinia
flower is double red

I hope I have every thing spelled properly. I have only one eye and I have been on here trying to get the list going again and everything is blurred. Thanks for your help. JB

Thank you Sweetie......I am almost finished for the day. You were a tremendous help.

We need to try and figure out how to add the plain green spider, they are popular and they are among the best sellers. They are very pretty and people are beginning to collect the different spiders(there is a curly one also) since they are so inexpensive and they are easy to grow. Such fun we have. Lovey dubby
