What a gorgeous day here in MInnesota-and I was lucky enough to get a surprise day off! Started off by getting my 35 Caladiums planted under grow lights in the basement, Then I moved some "houseplants" (not technically houseplants, just things that need to spend the winter indoors) out to the deck. I planted some perennials that I bought last weekend, watered my entire yard then finished off (so I thought!) by planting some lily bulbs:
Miss Libby
Citronelle
Turk's Cap (generic)
Uchida
Ariadne
Karen North
Eros
Eurydice
Midsummer's Eve
Sarabande
Black Knight

About 3/4 of the bulbs were from The Lily Garden mail order and were really nice looking. I hadn't ordered from them before but will definitely order from them again.

Like I said, I thought that was enough, but my husband came home with 20 bags of wood chips for my front perennial garden..........

Now all that's left is trying to get my fingernails clean for work tomorrow :)

Hope you all got to spend a little quality time outside in the garden, too!!!

I agree Hurray!

I had my kids give me the best mom's day present -- all came outside with me and cleaned all the leaves and debris out of my gardens -- 3 hours later with the help of 3 teenagers and woooo whooo!! Bring on the sunshine now!
