I'm confused, straight from the catalog?

It's off their website. But I've seen other images of other stuff that came from online or out of a catalogue so why is mine any different?

Usually you should ask for permission first, then properly credit them.

In order to use their images and respect their licensing, you should probably shoot them an email, and if they say no, delete the images.

If you want to use the images from another site, you should contact them to learn about the licensing they would like you to use and how to credit them. For example,

In this case I was able to contact the owner, and he let me reuse the images under Creative Commons (cc-by-nc-3.0) (Attribution, NonCommercial) licensing. It is also important to state that you used the image with permission, and who the owner/creator is!

All of this is just to make sure you don't get into any legal trouble for reposting/reusing these images

The way you have posted it, without seeking permission or at least giving attribution asserts that it is your image, and the details of the photo indicate that you reserve all rights to the photo. That is misleading. "Info: Entire plant / License: All rights reserved"

It's a legal issue.

Yes, because it's your own photo.
I think, at least. Probably best to upload a photo of the seeds next to it as well

@zuzu is it ok to just delete my Baker Creek images (The Phil's one tomato, Jaromere petunia and colocha coleus) off the database until I can drop Baker a line? I had no idea there was red tape involved. The photos of the actual plants, however, are my own pics.

Yes, probably the best for now. If you you get permission then you could upload them again… along with all the other images one the website

Thank you, Alana and Sedumzz. I've deleted the photos taken from the website, which made it through the system because the poster had already submitted enough photos to waive the photo approval process. Your diligence is appreciated.

Thanks for deleting my mistake photos; I have uploaded new ones of my seed packets. I have returned the acorns I received from the mistake photos; since they were deleted I feel I shouldn't keep them.

Please always check the LINKS at the bottom of any page for the full list of vendors that have given us expressed permission to add their photos, Baker Creek is one of them but they have to be properly attributed in the caption with "Photo Courtesy of Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds" which then automatically creates a clickable link to their site.
