Went to my first ever plant society show today! The San Francisco Orchid Society exposition.

There were a lot of lovely displays, and so many orchids for sale. I was jealous I couldn't buy any, as I'm heading back home to Canada soon. But was great to see so many different specimens.

Also met someone from the Orchid Conservation Alliance and learned about what they do. Sounds like a great cause, worth checking out if you haven't heard of them.

Anyone else happen to attend? What'd you think? Smiling

I recently took an interest in Paphs, so it was great to have an opportunity to see so many in-person. I find their structure quite interesting.

Lovely, thanks for sharing TK. That archway festooned with Phal flowers . . . oh my! What a lovely thing but think how many plants it took to grow all those!

I usually find orchid shows a bit of an "overload" for my senses so I enjoy taking lots of pictures then going home and viewing them at my leisure. If I do allow myself to buy anything, I try to keep it to my 'wish list' that is in my phone, so I don't do too much impulse buying.

Now, the 'death rack' at our Lowe's with cute little orchids that are finished blooming and are marked down to half price, those I can give in to impulse on.
