She looked with pride towards the ridge that defined her land on the east. Wiping the grime from her gloves, she thought "My only gripe is those wild grape vines! They really grate on my nerves. I shed great tears when I think of how much work I've put into controlling them!" But she felt happy when she noticed the aster at her feet and the hawk on alert by the alder. "I'll cut grape vines later" she thought, stopping to appreciate the natural beauty all around.
