For customers of The Lily Farm, Mark has posted on Facebook that they are no longer doing mail orders. Sad

I was expecting an order from In The Neighborhood in Alabama this week. They mailed it Tues the 4th, it went to Memphis, Tenn on the 5th, from there to Shreveport La (which is about 3 1/2 to 4 hours away from me)on the 5th, then it was sent to Boise Idaho on the 5th, the last it shows that it left Boise today. No idea where it is supposed to go from there.

I hope you get your package soon, Alma, and the daylilies are OK. That does sound like a strange side trip USPS sent them on.

You are probably right, Alma! I have had a few packages make an unexpected side trip too, but not to that extent.

My shipment arrived back in Shreveport at 2:20 am this morning. It is being processed. So probably will be Monday or Tuesday before I get it. Unless it gets sent somewhere else again.

Well, at least it is back in the correct time zone!

I received my order today. The leaves are pretty yellow, but the paper they were wrapped in was still damp. I have them soaking.

My bet is that they will be OK.

Jut got an email from Brian Reeder, and my daylilies are on the way.

My order from ladybug daylilies arrived today, Yoga Man! 3 big fans and 2 smaller ones, so happy!

My order from Amygarden on the LA (Jane and Steven Amy) should ship this week according to emails received from them.

Yesterday rec'd [but found on the porch this morning ] partial order from Pat Ball @daylilly99 : Wispy Rays, Timeless Beauty, Tahoe Snow Blizzard, Smitten Again, Raspberry Griffin, Planet Claire, Big Bird's Friend, Apple Venus, She Comes In Colors, Primal Scream. They have all been soaked and potted into large pots for "temporary" holding.

I just got my order from Sun Dragon Daylilies.


Substantial Rosebud, So Substantial, Color of the Heart, Ziggy Played Guitar, and bonus plants Mount Doom and Vorlon Encounter Suit.

Soaking now for potting up in large "temporary" pots later today or early tomorrow.

The iris I received from Firefly Farm and Mercantile died soon after planting; it was pretty dried up when planted though did seem to have one green leaf, which disappeared soon thereafter. I contacted the vendor; they responded very quickly and will replace though will not have the same cultivar. Should receive a new plant in September. The rest of my order is very good, nice Crocosmia corms. I ordered a variety of annuals seed packets and am waiting until we are past last frost date to plant them out in a garden bed. If they germinate well and grow I'll transplant into several of the garden beds. Ordinarily I don't do much with annuals, however I wanted some Summer color.

I just got a bunch of Crocosmia in the mail too, that will go down in the bottom bed.
