Seems like the Siberian Iris get the short end of the stick here. I can't find a thread for their blooms. So I am starting one!

Nice ours are not out as yet.

Be sure and add pictures once they bloom. Mine aren't out yet either. This one is always the first and way, way ahead of my others.

High Standards:

Early, Early. Nice looking clump Rita. Planted CS so maybe blooms next year. Connie, is High Standards a mid season for you? Sure is sweet.

Evan, I guess you could call it midseason for High Standards bloom. Most of the sibs that I have grown have had peak bloom about the same time as peak bloom for tall bearded irises in this area. I no longer grow very many of them, maybe four or five cultivars.

I would have missed that wire rim if you hadn't pointed it out, Connie -- thanks. Both Irises are beauties!!

I turn the flash off on my camera when I'm photographing my Irises -- I get a truer representation of the colors that way. FWIW.
