Beautiful splash of white. I like the way the blooms are held high. Are these recent photos?

Lot's of nice looking sibs there! Gulls Wing has always been a favorite, and a good grower.

Some years ago we had to move plants which were supposed to be 'Carrie Lee' &' White Swirl' out enchroaching shade. What we think is White Swirl flowered a couple days ago. Very pleased as it was the source of the shape of many modern Siberians.

You all have beautiful Sibs! I am patiently waiting for my first ones to bloom. Not sure when it will be, I planted them from seed 3 years ago and they are growing very slowly. No flowers as of yet.

Siberians usually bloom when they have about 6 fans. Maybe give them a shot of Miracle Gro?

Hey Polly We just had 'white Swirl' open after being moved from a very shady spot several years ago. Great to see it again.

Isn't it a beauty! I'm glad you mentioned it being a change in siberian irises. The first one to have flared falls, right? Mine are blooming right now, also.

It is probably a sanguinea rather than siberica.

Thumbs up I am thinking I am going to move them to a new bed this fall in my backyard. I did add some fertilizer to them recently and am hoping that I will get some blooms next spring!

This may sound funny, but they set their flowering in the late summer. So what you do in late July and August, will affect how they bloom next year.

Since you're moving them, mulch them well, too, up to about 3" around the base.

OK, I'm late to this thread, but I just wanted to say that "Ally Oops" is really a head-turner for me. I've promptly added it to my wishlist. Should I be worried that Dana Borglum describes it as having "Pseudacorus leaves and growth habits"? Is this going to be another beautiful weed that I'll regret ever bringing into my yard?

Isn't Ally Oops sterile?
