Hi. The last I showed of my Phragmipedium qf liena al'a (is that the right way to write it?) was the baby "excessive" new growths. Here is a recent picture of the growths at a m ore mature stage. As you can see, the leaves have gotten better as I started with RO water. (I think that is the reason) so some have leaf burn. I was wondering to "thin" it and to make it look better, maybe I should cut those off-- however this down there somewhere they are linked by a rhzome and I would hate to damage it or cause it a setback, if you know what I mean. No flowers yet -- the oldest center bloomed already, so I won't see anything for another year, most likely.
(That is a picture of one of the flowers in my thumbnail or "icon" by my name. It is quite nice).

I guess I want to see just how big it will get, and just how many spikes it could have simultaneously. In a sense, I really don't mind if a few of the leaves don't look great.

Interesting - I just looked at your avatar a little closer and now you made me curious - what is/are Criptopedium?

I'm guessing it's a typo and meant to be Cypripedium. Alternatively, Katy might mean Cypripedioideae, the Orchid subfamily that includes all the slipper orchid genera.

Taking another look at your plant pics -
Your plant looks very lush and green and I would definitely not thin it out. But I would try to get it used to brighter light. These type of Phrags can take bright light under the equator! Smiling Also, adding some cleaned Oyster/Clam shells to the medium is not a bad idea, mimicking the Limestone hill of its ancestors.
And happy you, these type of Phrags bloom more than once a year! Thumbs up
