Sometime in the past few yrs, the ability to determine which color links and visited links should be was removed from Chrome and/or Windows. That's flabbergasting, such a basic element that has always been part of internet'ing. I found an extension today that restores that ability and this site is now back in focus for me, vs trying to squint and see the difference between medium light blue #2 from medium light blue #3. So similar, it was like an insult to color.

I'm so excited!!! Now I can use the forum list page again. It's called Link Control, if anybody else has a need. I haven't downloaded anything for years, but I was so desperate & frustrated, I took a risk.

This is great! It works on entries in the DB, so I won't keep clicking into plants where I've already seen all of the pics.

Firefox has always had user-customizable link colors as part of its basic user preferences. And any browser that will accept user-created CSS stylesheets also
provides a method to do that.

So true. I always used FF until a few yrs ago. It may be that Chrome never had that, I don't know. I like Chrome better. But I was missing the feature desperately and now have it back.

I have no control over the coding on this site but I did used to use CSS on the web pages that I made back in the day when people had their own websites.

I can't recall Chrome ever having that functionality, but it's good to know there's an addon for it. I use Firefox as my regular browser at home at Chrome at work (as my workplace uses the Google ecosystem).
